About Arabica - Section 1

OUR STORY

Jad al Younis and James Walters are the odd couple of London's world famous Borough Market. United in their unwavering passion for the food of the Levant – the land where the sun rises – Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and Israel – they set out on a culinary adventure. Over years of travel and exploration, they have procured the finest fruits, vegetables, pulses, herbs and spices. Drawing on Jad's mother's ancient Jordanian recipes and a bold approach to culinary experimentation, they have revealed a range of products imbued with an almost romantic belief in the richness of Levantine food.

They started out with a simple stand in Borough Market where they raised the humble falafel, into an irresistible delicacy, enhanced with crunchy Arabic pickles, piping hot chilli sauce, crisp salads, cooling tahini and strained yoghurts. Queues grew and word spread, inspiring an inspired range of Arabica Food and Spice products.

Arabica Food and Spice products are now becoming available through outlets across the country. If you wish, they will design an Arabica banquet for your home or business. But worry not, you can still find the Arabica team filling the bellies of the Borough Market clientele every Friday and Saturday.
